I thought I'd share some photos, because I know some of you are just as big a fan as I am! (Some of these are blurred, and I'm in a few of them... sorry, on both counts.)
Clara's display and TARDIS tribute |
Davros |
The TARDIS from the 70s and 80s - with the all-important hat stand |
The Silence |
Me with Eleven, kinda |
The TARDIS of Nine and Ten |
Some random baddies and the Face of Bo |
I really thought I was acting nonchalant here. Turns out I was just smiling a lot! |
River Song's outfits |
Looks like fun! And you look adorable next to eleven.
ReplyDeleteIt was fantastic, Alex. It's a pity Matt Smith wasn't inside the costume :-(
DeleteHi Annalisa - so good you had a chance to have a break and visit the NT property as well as the Dr Who experience ... a great draw - and you do look happy! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteWe went to Tyntesfield near Bristol, Hilary - have you ever been there?
DeleteI can't pretend to be a Dr Who Aficionado, but I do appreciate its brilliance! And that show does look wonderful. I went to a Star Trek exhibition in Blackpool a couple of weeks ago. It was clearly a much smaller affair than the Dr Who one but tickled me nonetheless. Lots of real bits and replicas from the set, as well as a Beam Me Up Scottie! area where, with the aid of an App, you could, well, disappear. Loved it! Great photies.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they had anything like that in Blackpool. It sounds great, especially the beaming up (though I'll stay away if they ever try to mess around with my molecules!)
Deletesounds like a great time and the smile says it all.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm still smiling :-)
DeleteThat looks like so much fun! And good thing you got pictures of the Silence, or else you would have forgotten all about seeing them. (yes, I am a nerd; why do you ask? :D)
ReplyDeletePrecisely :-) Nope, you're not a nerd when you visit my blog, Jennifer, you're completely normal!
DeleteThat's a great pic of you smiling! It's very clear how much fun you all had. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a brilliant exhibition, so many artifacts from the show.
DeleteWow! Looks like you had all kinds of fun.
ReplyDeleteA brilliant day!
DeleteGreat pictures. Glad you enjoyed it. Very interesting characters.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun trip. I've never been to Cardiff.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't see much of Cardiff - we went solely for the exhibition!
DeleteWow! The Tardis! And you had a chance to see it in person. So jealous here.
ReplyDeleteThey had several, from the different eras, with very subtle differences. Sadly I didn't have the key, or the finger-click to open it.
DeleteLooks like you had loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteDid the visit inspire any story ideas...?
Sadly no inspiration, just lots of happy memories :-)
DeleteLooks like a fun trip.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun!
DeleteGreat pics. I had no idea about this place. Thanks for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteIt's so awesome, a must for Whovians!
DeleteLooks like a fun place to visit.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I had more fun than my kids :-)
DeleteLooks like loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteIt really was :-)
DeleteOooh, so awesome! I'd love to visit the Experience! Although I don't think I could get close to Davros...
ReplyDeleteHe was so scary, but it's always the Cybermen who scare me the most. Note the lack of them in the post!
DeleteThat's so cool! I'm a bit jealous here. Thanks for sharing your pics!
ReplyDeleteTime to save up for a trip to the UK then? There's loads of cool stuff here :-)
DeleteCool pictures. I've never watched Dr. Who, but maybe it's time to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteIf you do, go back and start with David Tennant, then work through. Although I like Peter Capaldi, his tenure so far has courted mixed views. (In my opinion, Matt Smith is the best!)
ReplyDeleteThis is very cool! I'd love to see this exhibit.
ReplyDeleteI loved David Tennant and I thought Matt Smith was great. However, I'm not a fan of Peter Capaldi, and I haven't been watching regularly. I still have a bunch of episodes to catch up on.
I think Capaldi was let down by poor scripts, and an over-reliance on Clara, and those kids!! So many - too many - kids in his first season. The writers are changing for the next series, so I'm hopeful.
DeleteYou seem to age backwards :) I notice that in your photos the past 3 years. What is the secret???
ReplyDeleteLol, oh I wish! The secret? Blurry photos... ;-)
DeleteI missed this post! What fun. A Dr. Who fan would go crazy there.
