Me and the Doctor

I've been quiet this week, because I've been away. First we stopped off at a very normal and grown-up National Trust property, then we went to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff. If you're ever in Cardiff, it's well worth a visit. We spent almost three hours there.

I thought I'd share some photos, because I know some of you are just as big a fan as I am! (Some of these are blurred, and I'm in a few of them... sorry, on both counts.)

    1. It was fantastic, Alex. It's a pity Matt Smith wasn't inside the costume :-(

  3. I can't pretend to be a Dr Who Aficionado, but I do appreciate its brilliance! And that show does look wonderful. I went to a Star Trek exhibition in Blackpool a couple of weeks ago. It was clearly a much smaller affair than the Dr Who one but tickled me nonetheless. Lots of real bits and replicas from the set, as well as a Beam Me Up Scottie! area where, with the aid of an App, you could, well, disappear. Loved it! Great photies.

    1. I didn't know they had anything like that in Blackpool. It sounds great, especially the beaming up (though I'll stay away if they ever try to mess around with my molecules!)

  5. That looks like so much fun! And good thing you got pictures of the Silence, or else you would have forgotten all about seeing them. (yes, I am a nerd; why do you ask? :D)

    1. They had several, from the different eras, with very subtle differences. Sadly I didn't have the key, or the finger-click to open it.

  16. If you do, go back and start with David Tennant, then work through. Although I like Peter Capaldi, his tenure so far has courted mixed views. (In my opinion, Matt Smith is the best!)

  17. This is very cool! I'd love to see this exhibit.

I loved David Tennant and I thought Matt Smith was great. However, I'm not a fan of Peter Capaldi, and I haven't been watching regularly. I still have a bunch of episodes to catch up on.

    1. I think Capaldi was let down by poor scripts, and an over-reliance on Clara, and those kids!! So many - too many - kids in his first season. The writers are changing for the next series, so I'm hopeful.
