Lurking in the shadows

It's another first for me today - I'm visiting DL Hammons's blog, Cruising Altitude 2.0, and I'm talking about one of my personal favourite stories, Shadows of Autumn.

In the real world, I'm going to start practising read out loud, because I'm off to see Kyra Lennon on Saturday - yes folks, it's almost time for our book extravaganza! Nervous? Me? Noooooooooo... (or, yes...)

  4. Reading aloud - one piece of advice is not to rush it. Forget the nerves - just read as if the person at the back of the room is your friend and you'll be great.

    1. I did a reading a couple of months ago, but everyone there actually WAS a friend (a room full of ex-work colleagues!). Not rushing is great advice - hard to follow, but very good to remember!

  5. Hi Annalisa .. relax, breathe, read and enjoy - then have fun chatting with everyone afterwards, answering questions and catching up with Kyra ..

    Cheers Hilary

  7. Greetings human, Annalisa,

I'm sure it will be a great time over at D.L's blog. You will be fine with Kyra and no need for nerves. Verbalisation is the key. Whenever I do a speech to my adoring fans, I end up putting them at ease.

    Pawsitive wishes,

Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! :)
