Simply list your five ways to be happy, tag five people and remember to tag back to the person who tagged you (I did above!)
- Walk by the sea, breathe in the sea, watch the sea, listen to the sea
- Listen to music
- Find the sunshine
- Play Frisbee with kids (either yours or borrow some, it works the same)
- Have a lazy day that slips into a lazy twilight BBQ
Aaah... and I'm happy!
I'm going to tag the happiest people I know: Kyra Lennon, Elizabeth Seckman, Kate N, Mark Koopmans and Gary!
Sounds perfect ...
ReplyDeleteI just realised, I described a single awesome day!
DeleteWell I have the sea two minutes away from my apartment,
ReplyDeleteLove music especially Danny Boy,
All I need is the love and support of my two offsprings wjop live closeby.
Yvonne.
Two minutes from the sea, that's my dream one day... Although I'm two minutes from a beautiful river, so I'm getting closer!
DeleteHi Annalisa .. great thoughts - yes the sea ... I'll be down there later on and happiness is .. it just is - you can make it your own, share with others and live life to the full ..
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
Happiness is a wonderful thing, indeed. Enjoy the sea :-)
DeleteI totally agree with you about the sea. I would also add curling up in comfy clothes with a good book and a snack. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, comfy clothes and the rain pattering against the window - I can't believe I didn't include the rain on my list!
DeleteWhat a brilliant idea. I could write them all about the sea. There's something special about it.
ReplyDeleteYes, the sea ticks all the boxes really doesn't it?
DeleteI'm happy??? Of course I am...I have friends like you!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kyra :)
Um... I'm Annalisa :-)
Delete(It's funny, I spend half my life reminding my mum who I am because she keeps calling me by my sister's name ;-))
Those things would make me happy too, especially being at the seaside.
ReplyDeleteI think most people love the sea. Apart from Hubby - I have to drag him there!
DeleteOh bliss. Great idea and loved your happy-things. :) I love anything that has to do with nature. Makes my heart sing!
ReplyDeleteYes, nature is wonderful and so uncomplicated.
DeleteYou just outlined the perfect blissful day! Maybe I'll try it on Sunday, after all, it's Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was listing completely random things, but yes, it makes a great day! Happy Mother's Day, early.
DeleteMusic always makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Mark is ever unhappy.
Music is perfect for that. And even better, you can make your own! Mark's blog always makes me happy.
DeleteI make that eight way - your first one is four!
ReplyDeleteLovely selection, Annalise
Sssh, no one was supposed to notice I was cheating :-)
DeleteWhat a wonderful idea! I think I'll join the fun on my next blog post. I also love being by the sea, music and sunshine. Plus, I just happened to have bought a Frisbee yesterday, to replace the one lost in the neighbor's yard, and tossed it around with my daughter when she came home :D
ReplyDeleteFrisbees are great fun, but I always find I ache the next day after not playing for a while, due to all the bending down and picking up I have to do :-(
DeleteWhat a great meme! I agree: playing Frisbee with kids equals happiness. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a happy Wednesday. ☺
By the end of the summer, we'll all have cool tricks... which we then forget over the winter!
DeleteThis is a great idea! Hope it takes off. :-D
ReplyDeleteIt isn't it? Rebecca's a clever lady!
DeleteI second and third the ocean bits. I love the sea, and I'm never nearby.
ReplyDeleteI hope you make the most of the sea whenever you ARE nearby :-)
DeleteA BBQ sounds good, especially corn on the cob and hamburgers, yum! We don't have the sea in Chicago, but we do have the lake. When I first moved here, I used to spend hours sitting by the water and just thinking about everything. It was very soothing.
ReplyDeleteOoh, corn on the cob. I never think to have that. We stick with meat in our family :-) Must buy some for my next BBQ.
DeleteThe lazy BBQ sounds perfect. A great post and thanks for posting this up so quickly!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great meme, and it was such a lovely day yesterday I was inspired straight away :-)
DeleteHey.
ReplyDeleteJust saw this (big sigh)
Thanks a lot (deep breath)
I'm much happier now (sniffles)
Ps... thanks for voting for me and the kind words (blows nose and wipes snot on sleeve)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome - I couldn't think of anyone happier than you :-D
DeleteWe live close to the ocean and when we need to relax and get happy, nothing beats doing nothing at the beach. That's where we will be this weekend for Mothers Day.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds perfect. Hope you have a great weekend!
DeleteThat was uplifting, Annalisa. One of my brothers swears by Frisbee. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm much better at throwing a Frisbee than kicking a ball :-)
DeleteThis is a wonderful idea! I need to make a list today. :) Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteThe credit goes to Rebecca Bradley! But lists are a great way to realise how happy/lucky we all are :-)
DeleteThose are some fantastic ways to feel happy. I love the part about borrowing someone else's kids to play Frisbee, that is something I have never thought about. Enjoy the wonderful sea air.
ReplyDeleteAll kids love to play, and as adults we OUGHT to play more!
DeleteWhat a lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteIt's great, isn't it? Sharing happiness is so simple :-)
DeleteYour list makes me feel happier and less stressed just by reading it. Sometimes I think the world is just too fast-paced. We need to slow down for our own health and happiness.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! :-)
Yes, slowing down and appreciating our surroundings (even when you're not beside the sea) are great ways to be happy.
DeleteLovely ways to stay happy, Annalisa! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel :-)
DeleteGreat idea for a meme!
ReplyDeleteMusic ALWAYS makes me happy!
And reading!
And guess what? I live 5 minutes from the sea...

I think my list is pretty universal.
DeleteMusic and sunshine are definitely on my list!
