From Santa Fe to... Sarah's place

Today, I'm taking over Sarah Pearson's Empty White Pages blog, talking about word count.

So a big thank you to Sarah for inviting me.

As I don't know exactly where Sarah lives, I thought this tea cosy pretty much sums us up as a country. (Apologies, Sarah if you don't come from England.)

After today, I have one more guest post lined up and then my little blog tour is all over, and normal service will be resumed - at least until April, when I'll be posting every day bar Sundays!

To coincide with that, I thought I might have a Cat and The Dreamer give-away. And then I noticed I currently have 92 followers (a big thank-you to all the newbies), so I thought that maybe, if I can get to 100 followers, I'd give away two copies! Watch this space...

Yes, I'm English, currently living in the frozen North. It was lovely having you today Annalisa, good luck getting to 100 followers :-)

    1. My follower count is a slow-burning affair - it could take a while to reach 100!

  4. Nice post. :) So, do you mind if I ask where the word count ended up for Cat? (I have the same problem. My YA is so short, but I don't want to add stuff just to add stuff. Ya' know?)

    1. It's just over 22,000 words. I know what you mean about not wanting to add more - padding for the sake of it just takes away from the impact of the story.

What's your word count at the moment?

    2. It's about 29,500. I plan to start Cat and the Dreamer today, by the way. I'd still love to interview you on my blog. :)

    3. I suppose, if you need to make it longer, would some small sub-plots work?

I'd love to be interviewed. Have you asked before and I've forgotten? I'm sorry if you have. Please email me!
