This is a hard one, Annalisa! Flat, thin, woven ~ SL's guess of a placemat looks like a winner! So as not to steal the placemat idea, I'll guess a runner on a table or desk or bureau.

I took this for an air duct grate of some sort. Perhaps Mini Alex has to climb into the air ducts on the ship to sneak into the part the aliens have invaded? He's the only one that fits and he's going to save the day!
