Blog tour - off to see Rena

Today I am visiting Rena, the Doctor Fairie Godmother. As Rena loves Science Fiction and science, I'm talking about Felix Baumgartner - and I've even done some research!

So, how's your week been so far?
I got strangely excited by the conformation that the
body found in a Leicester car park is Richard III.

  1. It's really him? I saw on BBC that it might be but hadn't heard the results.

    1. Yes, it was confirmed yesterday. I watched a documentary about the dig - they found some of his bones on the first day of the dig, but all the tests to confirm took months.

  2. Me too, Annalisa! And the thing is, I was JUST in the process of writing a post using the line from Shakespeare's Richard III when I saw it on the news.

    1. It will be interesting to see what happens to him next. It's great how history has got so many people talking - it's even trending on Twitter for the second day running!

    1. Lol, I think I sensationalised my changes a little. A lot of them actually had nothing to do with me or my writing, but with family stuff. One of my guest posts in a couple of days time is about the writing changes!

  4. I saw that! How odd was that? How did they forget where the king was buried?
    Headed to Rena's!

    1. If you think about it in historical context, I think it suited the Tudors to misplace him.

  5. I was also really excited for King Richard. I know that times weren't exactly what anyone would have called civilized, but as they say, history is written by the victor. I'm just glad they found him.

    1. It'll be interesting to see if his story changes - like you say, we've only had one side of the story.

  8. I have been so excited about the Richard III skeleton that I've been getting some funny looks. It's just totally amazing and exciting. Luckily, teenage my daughter who is a history freak like me agrees so for once we are on the same side, LOL!

    1. I know - he was right there for 2 or 3 days. Not bad for a 550 year old monarch :-)
